Chashi Foods Preservation with a new taste

40% of the food produced in Zimbabwe annually goes into waste and landfills. This challenge led to the existence of Chashi, which is tackling postharvest losses and food waste in the agribusiness sector through innovative agro-processing opportunities using renewable energy. The business provides reliable fresh produce markets to small-scale women and youth farmers. Chashi dries the fruits and vegetables, increasing shelf life from 3–7 days to 36 months while increasing farmers’ per capita income, creating employment, and reducing climate change effects associated with decayed food.
