At Chaja, we believe that access to clean, affordable transport can unlock economic freedom. Every day, hundreds of thousands of motorcycle riders across Tanzania spend over 40% of their income on fuel and repairs trapping them in a cycle of debt and dependency. We’re breaking that cycle.

We provide electric motorcycles on a drive-to-own model. For less than the daily cost of fuel, riders gain ownership of their vehicle in 12-18 months, significantly increasing their take-home income, and reducing harmful emissions.
