Urban transport in South Sudan is unsafe, unreliable, and financially unstable for riders. Catla transforms this ecosystem by creating a scalable ride-hailing platform for motorcycle taxis and tuk-tuks that is safe, reliable, and financially empowering. Using an offline-first, SMS-enabled booking system, Catla ensures service continuity in low-connectivity areas. Riders are verified, trained in traffic laws, and supported through bike/tuk-tuk financing. Safety dashboards and alert systems minimize accidents and theft. Building on proven operational experience from NileBoda, where 7 of 8 stolen bikes were recovered, traffic-compliant rider training was implemented, and rider/passenger trust was strengthened, Catla’s pilot will onboard 300–500 riders in Juba to validate adoption, safety, revenue, and community impact within 3–6 months.SectorsFintech, Green transportation and electric motors, Transport and logisticsLocationJuba, South SudanStageSign in to view detailsMarketsSign in to view detailsCustomer modelSign in to view detailsRevenueSign in to view detailsContactSign in to view detailsSocial media
