Makaaba is a hotel with a micro ecosystem that is inspired by Bacalar, which has a concept with a message. The hotel is focused on providing a unique experience, with all luxuries, as well as ecotourism adventures with awareness.
The hotel was thinking to create and close a self-sustaining cycle looking for real solutions like the roof with solar panels, in addition to its capacity to collect stormwater. Our ecological pool with its aquatic gardens forms a natural natural filtration ecosystem that guarantees clean, chlorine-free water.
In addition to being able to recycle and evaporate 100% of the waste water through trees that produce fruits for our restaurant. At the end of the cycle, all organic waste ends up in our composters to produce fertile soil that in turn forms part of our orchard to produce inputs for our organic, Mexican, local and ancestral inspired cuisine.
