At CarbonEx, we are building an ecosystem for tech-enabled farming, providing access to a vast network of farmland assets scattered across local communities within Nigeria, where we advise farmers on regenerative agricultural practices based on data-driven decisions made with GIS. This way, local farmers can maximise their food productivity while adapting more to the impacts of climate change on their farms and improving their livelihoods. At CarbonEx, we are solving the problem of food crisis caused by climate change impacts on agricultural productivity in Nigeria using technology. Our use of GIS technology affords us the possibility of realtime remote tracking of these farm sites from where we draw valid data on farm management, crop monitoring, soil health monitoring, farm input management and pest control. By engaging these local farmers in precision agriculture and other regenerative agricultural schemes, we afford them the benefits of higher agricultural productivity.
