Cantaro Azul was born in 2006, in Baja California Sur, with the objective of contributing to improve the health and quality of life of people without access to safe water or basic hygiene and sanitation conditions, mainly in rural communities of Mexico. The organization has been evolving towards the design, implementation and evaluation of water, hygiene and sanitation solutions, based on community participation and organization, encouraging the adoption of healthy habits in the population. Today, our headquarters is located in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, and has a multidisciplinary and multicultural team of more than 100 collaborators committed to the organization’s mission.
