Cactus Innovation Healthy and productive agriculture for healthy eating

The problem: Today the real evil of Senegalese agriculture remains the degradation of the land resulting from bad farming practices, aggravated by the climate variability .. In fact, studies carried out by CILSS in November 2010 indicate that of the 3,805 000 ha of arable land in Senegal, 2 400 000 ha are severely degraded (63 %). The consequences are a significant decrease in yields, even leading to the abandonment of land (INP, 2014), thus to satisfy the demand, farmers put on the massive use of fertilizers and pesticides.
This leads to the presence of toxic substances in agricultural products affecting the health of consumers. Solution: Faced with these problems, we are providing a solution to the establishment of a self-contained farm that values cactus in order to benefit from its agronomic, energy and environmental benefits
