Our solution, mAgri affords farmers access to timely agricultural information ranging from farming tips to improve yields, market-prices and most importantly weather alerts and early warning for climate catastrophes that can adversely affect food security . We not only provide them with weather , we also provide market place and a chat platform that facilitate trade/marketing and knowledge sharing amongst farmers. We create a mobile community of rural small holder farmers that did not previously exist. Through mAgri, Brastorne creates an agricultural ecosystem connecting rural farmers to each other and other actors across the agricultural value chain: government agricultural services, telcos, NGOs, and Agricultural input suppliers/dealers can access hard-to-reach users directly in a more efficient way, engaging farmers in the digital economy without bankrupting the farmers with exorbitant data charges.
