Booker Climate Smart Food Systems is a youth led agribusiness providing affordable, locally produced animal protein to fishing dependent communities around Lake Victoria. The business addresses food insecurity and over reliance on declining fisheries by producing eggs through land based, climate smart poultry systems designed for rural and island markets where infrastructure is limited and demand is strong.
The venture currently operates 4,500 laying birds, producing and selling approximately 120 trays of eggs per day.
