BETAGEM is a small-scale agri-enterprise based in Gem, Siaya. We specialize in organic primary production and value addition of nutraceuticals. Our first specialization is in ginger with three value-add products: ginger jam, ginger infused honey and pickled ginger. Our next streams are in turmeric and garlic.
We are looking to raise resources to increase our primary production in ginger and expansion into the two other products and the development of value-add products. Our primary production is organic using permaculture practice also known as `Farming God`s Way` for sustainability and conservation of the environment. We have also recruited two women as `out-growers` to increase our primary production.

We have acquired Kenya Bureau of Standards certification for the pickled ginger. We are in the finalisation of certification for the jam after which we shall pursue the honey.
