Amen is an aspiring entrepreneur; He has interests ranging from Leadership to filmmaking. In July
2017, he partook in a prestigious institute on leadership and Social Entrepreneurship called Hansen Summer Institute in San Diego, CA. He was one of the two representatives from Africa. Apart from his attempt to form his own club- Junto, he practiced his leadership skills while serving in Students Union as an academic affairs representative in Addis Ababa
Science and Technology University.
While in office, he organized the annual innovation week in AASTU, creating a chance to meet
and work together with Bethelhem Lakew and he learned about her innovative solution to tackle
malnutrition in Ethiopia that won her two national awards. Bethlehem lakew, eminent scientist, is a graduate in food science and applied nutrition from AASTU. Amen brought the innovative social business model from Hansen Summer Institute and kept working with Bethelhem on realizing this
new project.
