BSI is launching a hospital-based kiosk inside Lilongwe Private Medical Centre (LPMC) to provide convenient access to essential wellness products, snacks, hygiene items, and mobile money services (Airtel Money and TNM Mpamba) for patients, guardians, and hospital staff. The business solves a critical gap in hospital environments in Malawi where basic needs are not met on-site, affecting comfort and care. By sourcing from local producers, promoting youth and women employment, and reinvesting profits, the kiosk offers a scalable and sustainable model that enhances the hospital experience while supporting community development. The startup seeks MWK 31 million (~USD 17,900) to launch operations, with plans to expand to multiple hospitals within five years. This is a patient-centered, high-impact initiative designed to transform hospital convenience and health-supportive services in Malawi.
