Did they know that the craft sector has a high potential in terms of contributing to Colombia’s economic and social development?

Hi! How are they? My name is María del Pilar Rodríguez Salcedo, founder and director of Awana Taller, I am a person who is passionate about social transformation and that is why I decided to undertake a search to provide solutions that confront the complex reality of the indigenous artisan communities of my country.

By means of knowledge and ancestral techniques, we co-design contemporary craft pieces, creating opportunities for the associated communities to improve their living conditions, contributing to their empowerment, decent work, poverty reduction and the visibility of the craft trades as a way of social change.

Today I want to invite you, who read me, to think from the place you think of the other because the stories that are worth counting are the ones that have been the priority for the benefit of others.
