For a long time Agriculture has been and still remains the backbone of the Ugandan economy. According to the National Development Plan, agriculture accounts for over 25% of our GDP & employs over 70% of the country’s labor force 77% of whom are women & 63% are youth residing in Rural areas. Despite this position, unsatisfactory performance has been noted in terms of productivity, nutrition and security in the recent years.
In light of these statistics, our idea focusses on leveraging the potential of integrated Agriculture to promote “women youth in Modern agribusiness” in Nakabululu Village, Zirobwe, Luwero District 50Km from Kampala CBD.
