Our business solves severe food shortages on the Liberian market. The cause of the problem is as a result of the 14-year civil war in which mostly farmers were decapitated by fighting forces, produce and animals were looted and agriculture facilities vandalized. This began when rebels occupied these areas for up to (5) five years. Seeds banks and livestock reserves were abandoned, destroyed and looted. More than 2,500 hectares of vegetable and tree crops farmlands were destroyed along with some key farmers leaving many escaping to seek refuge in neighboring countries causing extreme scarcity of food and seeds for returning farmers. Artgeo has experience in vegetable farming as part of its pre-war recovery initiatives.
Our solution is supplies of adequate food on all local markets across the. country by introducing such technologies as Soil and Water Sensors and Vertical farming. These, will improve crops production. This is a relatively new farming method we trying to introduce.
