Artemis Africa

The destruction of the world’s primary forests is one of the greatest environmental catastrophes of our time. Every year, 130,000 km2 of tropical forest is lost. To stop this cycle of deforestation, Artemis Africa is implementing locally, the “balls of clay” associated with ecological cooking stoves as a real energy alternative to charcoal.
This type of clay briquette has a triple interest: economic, social and ecological; by ensuring a clear increase in the income of producers, they make it possible to improve the living conditions of local populations as well as their resilience to the effects of climate change. It also has a major environmental interest because its use reduces energy demand by over 70% and considerably limits greenhouse gas emissions.
