Alterbike Bikes that change the world

Alterbike’s mission is to change the world through bicycles. Since 2009 we produce and assemble bicycles and sports products made in Mexico, and recently, we started our transformation into a triple impact business. In 2017 we started to work with the social reinsertion institute in Mexico City and in partnership, we have trained about 40 former inmates to assemble and repair bikes. Currently, we are migrating our business operations to Coahuila (Northern Mexico), in order to attempt to manufacture our frames by ourselves and to take advantage of the manufacturing culture in the region, plus the closeness with the USA market. From 2019 to 2020 we radically changed our business model by migrating from a classic B2C and B2B model (with a shop that we had for over more than 10 years), to selling only folding bikes through our own e-commerce. By 2030, we will pretend to be the main digital native vertical brand of for-purpose folding Mexican bikes.
