Our Startup markets biomedical ethanol produce from cassava which is used in the healthcare and cosmetic sector and manufacturing of affiliated hydro-alcoholic solutions.
Our motivations were born from a family business which had warehouse where ethanol has been imported for resale. In 2013, it had a tragedy where the markets of Togo were set on fire. Stores were burnt down, including ours. Faced with these difficulties, I had started the bioethanol manufacturing experiments with corn. I legally created my self-business in 2018 which later turned into a Limited Company Joint-stock venture with another shareholder who has more than 33 years of experience in this sector. Now our main raw material is fresh cassava crops.
In my region, thousands of tons of cassava perish every year due to problems of lack of outlets. We plan to set up a pilot phase ethanol distillery plant with a capacity to crush 10000 tons of cassava per year to supply the demand across the sub-region.
