AfriLife is a dedicated Tanzanian producer of natural forest honey. Despite the huge potential for Tanzanian honey, beekeeping in Tanzania has been characterized by low productivity, poor processing, and underdeveloped markets. As a result, marginalized beekeepers continued to earn too little to be able to reduce or eliminate poverty. For these reasons; AfriLife’s founders are driven by a desire to make a difference, specifically to address beekeeping value chain inefficiencies and its transformation into commercial practices, aiming both to generate income for the company and to improve the livelihoods of the marginalized beekeeping-dependent communities.
