World hunger is on a severe rise. Agriculture requires a massive chunk of the world’s resources. As we are more focused on increasing our efforts at the farms, we need to be very keen on the way we use our most precious resources as well. Soil degradation is significantly accelerated by unsustainable human activities. Soil is a finite resource and according to F.A.O, 33% of the Earth’s soils are already degraded, and over 90% could become degraded by 2050. This is horrifying and that’s where our disruption comes in. We extract an eco-friendly, 100% organic growing medium from coconut husks called cocopeat. Cocopeat is a natural powdered product that is extracted from the outer shell of a coconut and used as one of the most effective planting mediums by farmers. The best part is that this product is extracted from the recycling of coconut husks (agricultural waste). Cocopeat has proven to be the best alternative to peat moss and soil in terms of productivity and sustainability.
