Startup essentials: Early-stage mentorship

Leverage the transformative power of mentorship in the VC4A community.

Building a business in an emerging market is hard. Most times it seems like the odds are stacked against small and medium business owners because they have to deal with unfavorable policies, lack of infrastructure, access to finance, access to talent and other issues. One of the ways we believe startups can stack the odds in their favor is to seek out mentorship from founders and professionals that have gone ahead of them to build thriving businesses and careers in the same or similar market environments.

According to a SCORE report, entrepreneurs who work with a mentor are five times more likely to start a business – and report higher revenues and increased business growth. At VC4A we believe that mentorship can help entrepreneurs unlock new opportunities and networks that will help them grow and scale their businesses.
