CAPITAL MARKET – INVESTING FOR GROWTH
For 2 days, governments and industry leaders from five continents will meet to discuss the main trends, challenges and opportunities for the WAEMU capital markets.
The conference will showcase experiences from around the world and explore possibilities for replicating them.
In addition, it will offer new partnerships, investment and business opportunities to national and foreign stakeholders; and share innovative ideas explored through conversations between the public and private sectors and working groups
THE CONFERENCE WILL FOCUS ON 3 CRUCIAL THEMES
- The creation of an efficient state bond market which would function as a gateway for business financing and foreign investments;
- The development of equity and corporate bond markets offering great opportunities to the real estate and infrastructure sectors, as well as SMEs and financial institutions subject to Basel II / III regulations;
- Expanding and diversifying the investor base, with a focus on mobilizing foreign investors in local markets and developing national pension funds that will contribute to long-term financing and financial stability.
