Develop a Sustainable SME is a program meant for SMEs that have been in business for 5 to 20 years and want to grow their business consistently and sustainably. Aimed at decision makers who are interested to improve their strategic execution and personal leadership. 

What will you get out of it?

Practical application of proven business concepts: understanding the industry that you’re in, developing the right strategy to become better at selling the right product to the right customer at the right time at the right price. It will support you to operationalize your strategy, making your business profitable consistently.

The program is set up to be a real time, real learning, shared experience. We combine theory with practical application relevant to everyday SME business management.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

*Before the program* 

Preparation interview and site visit to get to know you and your business to ensure you get maximum benefit from the learning and development experience during the program. 

*During the program* 

We have split the program into three sections: 

Strategy: We have experience from the businesses we work with that for strategy to be consistently effective it has to be relevant in the context of your business environment. We will enable you to scrutinize if it’s fit for purpose, still passionate to you, and make your strategy more robust and reconnect with your entrepreneurial drivers.

Operations: We will enable you to scrutinize your operations to align with the clearly defined strategy. We will look at all elements along the value chain from supply, production/manufacturing to distribution to be sure you have the right processes and procedures to maximize your strategy’s operational effectiveness.

Innovation and the future: For business to be continuously sustainable you need to cater to the market’s needs. We will challenge you to “stress test” your business and leadership to continue to stay strong for the future and be in a position to capitalize on opportunities.

*After the program*

The learning doesn’t stop once you leave the classroom. 3 Months after we finish the core of the program, we get back together to review your strategy and its continuous relevance and impact to your business and its environment, as well as what needs to be done for you to continue to grow.

Start of the Program: Tuesday 21st June 2016

The 10 Workshop Sessions shall be held on a weekly basis on Tuesdays. Interviews and Site Visits are to be scheduled between application and start date.

Payment

Program Fee: US$ 1750 (at the running rate at the time of payment; payment in instalments possible)

Additional participant of the same company: US$ 500 (maximum 2)
