About The Event

On Friday, October 15, TechCabal’s Editor-In-Chief, Adegoke Oyeniyi will discuss the progress, promises and pain points of digital media in Africa with Ciku Kimeria, Africa Editor at Quartz and Fadekemi Abiru, Editor-In-Chief at Stears Business. The three will talk about what has worked and what needs to be improved upon in the industry, its role in supporting innovation on the continent, and how to chart a path forward.

About our speakers:
Ciku is a long-time contributor to Quartz Africa and has authored almost 40 articles for the site, on topics as wide-ranging as the perils of traveling with an African passport to the optimism inspired by Africa’s first NFT art collections.

Fadekemi Abiru is the Editor-In-Chief at Stears Business. She is a development economist who previously worked for the UK government where she provided economic analysis on regional development, international trade analysis and the government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
