Innotribe Startup Challenge 2017

Supporting the FinTech startup ecosystem

In 2017, Innotribe will return to Africa for the third consecutive year. The warm welcome from the community and enthusiasm from startups have been essential in building solid foundations for the programme in the region. Once again, Innotribe will partner with SWIFT’s African Regional Conference (ARC), organised from 16-18 May 2017 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The Startup Challenge will take place on Wednesday 17 May in the afternoon and is now open for applications

For the third time, Innotribe will provide unique networking opportunities with banks and VCs to selected FinTech startups during SWIFT’s African Regional conference (ARC).ARC brings together policy makers, industry leaders and the broader financial community from across the African continent. Typically attracting up to 500 delegates from around 40 countries, ARC is a unique forum for networking, education, discussion and debate and a great platform for FinTech startups to connect with the financial sector.

Launched in 2011, Innotribe Startup Challenge’s mission was to bring visibility to activities at the edges of our ecosystem, highlighting the importance of these new emerging companies called startups and their revolutionary way to think and work. Over the years, the Startup Challenge has become one of the leading global startup competitions, connecting the financial services industry with more than 650 FinTech startups around the world and reaching over 4,000 audience members through global showcases and networking events.

Since 2016, the Startup Challenge supports the emerging FinTech ecosystems, moving from a global competition to a local programme supporting innovation where demographic trends, economic growth and regional integration projects are creating fertile ground for new technologies to emerge.
