Because we recognise the importance of product and technology innovation across various industries, we’re providing start-up companies with the opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas in our dedicated SuperReturn Africa Start-up Innovation Showcase, part of the Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship Summit, providing our audience with unique insight into the products and services of the future.

Those start-ups that are selected to participate in the SuperReturn Africa Start-up Innovation Showcase will be notified by the end of September 2016, and receive a FREE demonstration slot.

How Does it Work?

SuperReturn Africa Start-up Innovation Showcase is taking place in the afternoon of the Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship Summit day, taking place on 29 November 2016. A special discounted price for all start-ups to register for the Summit is only £250 and you can attend the 2-day main conference for £500! 

Those start-ups that are selected will receive a free demonstration slot and free entry to the Summit. Those, whose applications are not selected, will be welcome to register to attend the Summit at a discounted price of only £250.  

The demonstration from each selected start-up will be evaluated by our SuperReturn Africa judging panel at the event, which includes members of SuperReturn Africa Advisory Board.

The winner will be presented with a trophy and certificate of recognition at SuperReturn Africa Networking Drinks Reception, as well as receive extensive PR coverage.

If you are an Africa-based start-up and have an innovative product that is at either pre- or post-revenue stage that you wish to showcase, we want to hear from you! 

Submission Criteria and How to Apply

• Start-ups from 0 to 5 years producing or aiming to produce products/services for use on the African continent 
• Start-ups based/headquartered  in Africa 
• Start-ups operating in the following sectors: Infrastructure, Energy (including Renewables), Healthcare, Financial Services (including Fintech), Consumer (including FMCG), Real Estate, Agriculture
• Start-ups operating in any other sectors may also be considered 

We are looking for examples of cutting-edge products and case studies. Proposed demonstrations should clearly showcase new innovations and ideas.

Your abstract should be structured with the following headings:

• Objectives
• Methods
• Results
• Summary/Conclusion

It should outline:

• Practical application
• Focus on results vs features
• Real-world case studies/lessons learned and best practice

Length and Language:

Abstracts should be no longer than 350 words with the addition of a:

• Descriptive title
• Presenter biography
• Product/service photo(s)

We only accept submissions made in English.

Information should also be given on whether this product has or is going to be demonstrated at any other venues. If yes, please list date and venue and core event differences. We are looking for unique products.
