The SABF Venture Competition (April 16th, 2022) is an opportunity for founders to pitch to early-stage investors from across the globe. Judges and audience members include VC/angel investors from Silicon Valley and emerging markets alike. Competition winners will have the chance to enroll in a curated set of Stanford entrepreneurship courses, worth $15,000
Judging criteria
- Value proposition: Is this solving a critical problem?
- Market How large is the total addressable population or market?
- Defensibility: How are you differentiated against competitors?
- Team: Why is this teary the one to solve this problem?
- Traction: What have you achieved so far? Is this business model viable, based on results?
- Scale Does this product have the potential to change lives of millions?
Eligibility criteria
- Africa-focused: Majority of operations or customer base must be in Atrica, strong preference for startups with at least one founder of Africa.
- Early-stage: Less than 5 years old, raised less than USD 500.000 in funding.
- Initial traction Early MVP build, or evidence of initial customer base.
