The Startup Weekends are 54-hour events designed to provide quality educational experience to technical and non-technical contractors. These weekend events are focused on action, innovation and education. Beginning with the pitches of Friday night and continuing through experimentation, the development of the business model and the creation of a simple prototype, the Startup Weekends ends on Sunday evening with demonstrations before a panel of potential investors and local entrepreneurs.
How is the startup weekend?
Global Startup Weekend:
As part of the global entrepreneurship week that will take place from 12 to 18 November 2018, thousands of cities organize the startup weekend to join a global community and share experiences. N’ Djamena is not from the rest therefore joins the movement to give a unique experience to each entrepreneur. More than 15,000 entrepreneurs will meet for hundreds of events from 2 to 18 November 2018 for Techstars Global Startup Weekend!Techstars Global Startup Weekend (TGSW) connects entrepreneurs, organizing teams and startups communities around the world. Participants have access to exclusive resources to help prepare success at the Techstars Startup Weekend and establish links with mentors and other startup teams. To help sustain growth, the winning team of each event receives useful benefits for building their start-up and a storefront in our global channels.
Who are you going to meet at a Startup Weekend? Startup Weekends participants’ courses are 50 % technical (developers, coders, designers) and 50 % Business (marketing, finance, law). 29 % of registered Startup Weekends participate for networker, 20 % come to develop/build a product and 13 % are there to learn how to create a new company. Almost 80 % of the participants plan to continue working on their startup after the weekend.
