About the program

The 2022 AgriFood Nigeria Accelerator Program seeks to equip and empower agrifood tech entrepreneurs in Nigeria with the skills and resources they need to start and grow successful and thriving agrifood tech firms. The program will use innovative modules to diagnose the gaps faced by the Startups, and then deploy appropriate support mechanisms such as training, business planning, mentorships, peer learning and technical support to help the participating Agritech Startups stay afloat. Outstanding Nigerian agricultural entrepreneurs who are looking to scale their firms, increase their market reach, and attract new investors and strategic partners are targeted by the program.

The program will run for a duration of 7 weeks and Interactive workshops, consulting sessions, business support services, and one-on-one and group mentorship sessions with a team of seasoned sector industry professionals and trainers.


Curriculum overview

Access to investment training:
The program will groom participants to have the necessary tools and skills to secure investment from investors.

Personalized coaching:
Experienced coaches will facilitate scheduled or need-based mentorship to provide personalized attention in addressing each company’s needs. Coaches also support tailoring growth strategies and pathways.

Technical support
The program will support entrepreneurs’ access to up to 20 hours dedicated to optional engagement with Microsoft Technical Partners.

Adaptive learning 
Entrepreneurs will undergo an intensive period of business evaluation and diagnosis. The curriculum is then tailored to meet the unique needs of each company.

Who is eligible to apply?

The following are the eligibility criteria for the application

  • Nigerian Women and youth-owned post-revenue companies in agriculture and related industries
  • The business needs to have an existing working product and generate revenue
  • The founder must be between the ages of 18-35 yrs.
  • The business must be based and registered in Abuja, Nigeria.
  • Be operating a CAC registered agribusiness venture at the growth stage
  • At least one co-founder must be on the project on a full-time basis.
