The Support Project for the Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises , “PADMPME” , in acronym, is a support program that the government of the DRC has put in place to promote the economic initiatives of operators in this category, in the framework of the National Strategy for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises adopted in 2016.
This project is implemented by the National Coordination Unit created by Decree n ° 18/021 of May 30, 2018 on the creation, organization and functioning of the Steering Committee of the Support Project for the Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (PADMPME) .
The PCU is the main coordinating body for the project at the national level. It is anchored within the Ministry of SMEs and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the project. It serves as a coordination point between the institutions involved in the project.
Its staff is recruited competitively and consists of a National Coordinator, experts and support staff, under the supervision of the National Coordinator.
It is funded to the tune of US $ 100 million, through credit 6287-ZR from the International Development Association (IDA).
