Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies of Paraguay
The Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies was created by Law 6207 dated October 22, 2018 “Which creates the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies and establishes its organic charter” to replace the National Secretariat of Information and Communication Technologies, and the Secretariat of Information and Communication.
It is the technical entity and the governing body in the field of Information and Communication Technologies in the public sector, and the communication of the Executive Branch.
Design and implement public policies that promote and facilitate connectivity, inclusion, technological innovation and the digital economy, as well as those involving the creating and disseminating relevant and plural content from state media, generating a broad process of social inclusion from public communication, transparency in the management and promotion of culture and identity.
Being the public institution that improves the quality of life of people through the massive and inclusive use of ICT by empowering innovation, efficiency in management, access to information, the generation of relevant and quality content, ensuring participation and transparency.
Institutional policy is based on planning, transparency and citizen participation: the promotion of ICT; the protection of users ‘ rights; the free technological adoption and the mass of electronic government.
Similarly, the actions of the MITIC are framed in the strategic axes, transversal lines and strategies of the National Development Plan 2030.
