Mbadala is an impact fund supporting businesses built with financial viability alongside Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) model.

We are a sector-agnostic fund, using holistic approach to promote the 17 SDGs.

The Fund targets enterprises in East Africa, with ticket size of between USD 50,000 to USD 300,000.

The Fund is managed by SSC Capital, a 10-year corporate and investment advisory firm based in Tanzania.

CRITERIA

  • Must be operational at least for one year, post-revenue, with strong financial logic
  • Must have a scalable business model
  • Must address one or more SDGs
  • Must have a great team
  • Potential exit for 3 to 5 years
  • Must embed the ESG model(Environmental, Social, Governance)
  • Must demonstrate innovation
