Get expert assistance from PUM!

PES Latam and PUM joined hands to give social entrepreneurs from Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia access to a network of 1,600+ senior experts across a wide range of industries.

PUM experts have extensive experience in, for example, waste management, production of coffee and cocoa, clean energy, tourism, construction, transport, sustainable food production, health, dairy, and many more areas. You can check PUM’s full list of areas of expertise here.

What will you get?

Selected social entrepreneurs can receive individualized support from a PUM expert, in one of the following 2 formats, depending on their preference and needs:

• Remote coaching: online, for a period of 6 to 8 weeks
• Advice on location: in person, for up to 2 weeks.

The service will be subsidized (fully or partly) by PES Latam. Our goal is to support social enterprises that are financially sustainable but do not have the funds to afford high-caliber expertise from commercial consultants. Please note that if you choose the on-site option, you will have to cover hotel and meal expenses for the expert during the on-site mission.

Who is eligible?

We are looking for already established (at least 2 years of operations), privately and locally-owned social enterprises active in Peru, Colombia and/ or Bolivia that are financially sustainable and have ideally 10 to 250 employees.

Your support needs need to overlap with PUM’s areas of expertise (see here).

When can you apply?

Applications can be submitted anytime and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until our support funds are spent.

How does the application process work?

To express your interest, follow these steps (integrated into the application form):

1. Click on the Apply button at the top right corner of this page and log into your VC4A account or register for free
2. Create a profile for your venture (if you don’t already have one) in the first step
3. Fill out the application form and submit it
4. We will evaluate your application; if you are selected, a PUM Country Coordinator will contact you to better scope your request. This may take 2-5 weeks.
5. If your venture meets PUM’s criteria and your request is accepted, you will be put in contact with the expert in 3-4 weeks.
