The Kunan Challenge is the most important annual award for social entrepreneurship in Peru. It seeks to identify the greatest diversity of projects with impact in order to solve social and environmental challenges facing our country, and to recognize those who stand out for being innovative, scalable and sustainable.

This 2021 we return with great allies such as Help Peru, Movistar, United Nations, AFP Integra, Calidda, Danper, Fundación Belcorp, Parque Arauco and TASA.

CATEGORIES

UNSTOPPABLE ADULTS

Powered by AFP Integra. Look for social enterprises that are directed by adults over 55 years of age or seek to empower and benefit adults over the age of 55.

SUSTAINABLE CITIES

Driven by Calidda. It seeks social and environmental ventures that contribute to the generation of sustainable cities by improving the quality of life and increasing access to basic services such as energy, communications, mobility, housing and/or waste management through reuse or recycling, in a sustainable and inclusive way to the community.

• PREMIUM: S/15,000 + NESST technical accompaniment

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Driven by TASA. Seeks social and environmental projects, at national level, with the objective of reducing the ecological footprint through a change in the methods of production, consumption and disposal of goods and resources from the Peruvian sea, through the promotion/use of the circular economy (reduction, transformation and recycling of waste) to find solutions with triple impact (social, economic and environmental development) that benefit populations in a situation of vulnerability.

• PREMIUM: S/15,000 + NESST technical accompaniment.

EDUCATE FOR Transform

Driven by Danper. Search for social enterprises at national level in vulnerable rural and urban areas that promote access to quality education and personal, professional and/or technical development of populations in a situation of vulnerability.

• PREMIUM: S/15,000 + NESST technical accompaniment

UNDERTAKING RETAIL

Driven by Arauco Park. Search for social enterprises at the national level to develop and market products for retail sale. Social and/or environmental enterprises should be constituted and have the capacity to implement a module in a commercial center.

• PREMIUM: Two winners! Free space in Larcomar, North Megaplaza or some other CC that Park Arauco has in its portfolio for a period of 4 months (1 installation and 3 operating), commercial accompaniment of Arauco Park and NESST technician, and Design of the module and the free closing by students of Toulouse Lautrec for the two winners.

DRIVING WOMAN

Driven by Belcorp Foundation. It seeks nationwide social enterprises led by women and who seek to empower women economically in a situation of vulnerability through their business model.

• PREMIUM: S/15,000 + NESST technical accompaniment

EVALUATOR AND JURY COMMITTEE

The Kunan 2021 Challenge has 7 Technical Evaluators Committees, which will be responsible for choosing the finalists of the Kunan Grand Prix and each of the Kunan Challenge Categories. It also has a Jury that will choose the winners of this edition.
