About the two upcoming hackathons:

The Negawatt Challenge:

Negawatt is a global competition empowering communities to innovate around local energy issues. Using a multi-phase open innovation methodology, this initiative aims to transform cities into more sustainable and energy efficient places. Cities all over the world have been selected on the basis of their government’s commitment to energy efficiency and low carbon growth, as well as the existence of dynamic and growing entrepreneurial and technology sectors. (To commence March 2015)

Hack for Big Choices:

Hack for Big Choices is a global movement with the mission to empower talented people to solve local problems by developing innovative products and businesses. We’re rolling out a program in Ghana to provide the opportunity for the next generation of leaders to come together, hope, and execute towards positive impact for their cities and their countries. Transformation is an incremental process, so we encourage the participation of every individual, at every skill level, to push the world in the right direction. The sum of such parts will always lead to a greater whole. (To commence February 2015)
