Entrepreneurial and Technical Capacity Building Program.

Invest for Jobs and BS4D, two programmes implemented by the GIZ, aim to design and establish new approaches to cooperation between Ivorian and German/European companies. The final objective is the consolidation and development of enterprises in Côte d’ Ivoire and the creation of new jobs.

Invest for Jobs and BS4D want to promote the reinforcement of the resilience of Ivorian SMEs and the creation of sustainable employment, by accelerating the growth of enterprises with a high potential for the development of local value chains and real opportunities for expansion into new markets at national, regional and international level.

Program objectives and pillars

The objective of this program is to provide participants with adequate resources, not only for the accelerated development of their businesses but also for their personal development as business managers.

This acceleration program is intended for entrepreneurs who use textiles as a raw material and who are active in the fashion, decoration and clothing industries.

It will be based on three pillars, namely:

  • Personal and entrepreneurial leadership – The entrepreneur’s personality and capacity for strategic thinking
  • Entrepreneurship and business management – Business performance and resilience.
  • For the most motivated entrepreneurs and companies with high potential, support in raising funds through personalized coaching.

It is envisaged to promote technical assistance and entrepreneurial support for entrepreneurs with a high potential for growth, innovation, and job creation in the following sectors:

  • Textile/manufacturing and all modern fashion and accessories (manufacturers/artisans)
  • All decoration products at the base of textiles, leather, and other natural raw materials

Eligibility criteria

Eligible entrepreneurs/enterprises that:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of legal existence or operation.
  • Works in the sectors defined above.
  • Companies founded and/or managed by women or employing a majority of women will be favored.
