Accelerator Program 2015

Turning sustainable ideas into profitable companies.

The Program

Get ready (1 month, The Netherlands)

The Get Ready phase will prepare you for market validation of your
business in the local context. This intensive month of interactive
sessions and trainings will take place in the Netherlands and contains
training on Business and Distribution Models, Financial Modelling, Lean Start-up, Stakeholder Management & Partnerships et cetera. But also scrutinizing your business plan by critical questioners, like experts, coaches and investors. You can use their observations and expertise to enhance your market analysis, optimize your business model and prepare avalidation approach. This validation approach based on lean start-up principles, is a key deliverable in the get ready phase and functions as a guide for the next phase.

Validation (3 months, local context)

The Validation phase is a tailor-made program in the local context to
validate all assumptions in your business plan and prepare your market entry. During three months, you receive intensive hands-on support (1.5 day/week) from a local business acceleration expert of ICCO, Woord en Daad and our trusted partners. Furthermore, our extensive local networks will open new opportunities and give you access to the right business partners and launching customers, which is an important gateway to get a proof of concept and market! Having a proof of concept and market opens the door to investors who are your audience during the Demo Day in the last phase.

Pitch (1 month, The Netherlands)

The Pitch phase is the final part of the Accelerator Program and
prepares you for the Demo Day by participating in trainings and
interactive sessions (Crowd Funding and Impact Visualization, Investor
Propositions, Pitching, Negotiating et cetera) and by extensively
practicing your pitch among experts, coaches, investors and your peers who give their feedback. During Demo Day you outline your validated business plan, strong propositions, financial forecasts, growth plan and set of impact indicators for a large group of investors. This pitch event enables you to start negotiating and deal making in which we will assist you with our investment expertise. Of course you can also use this pitch to attract investors from your own network or use the Accelerator’s crowdfunding platform to attract funding.

During the entire program you are supported by a personal mentor with whom you have regular meetings and you get access to a pool of mentors for specific expertise like marketing, finances and country knowledge.
