Intellecap Impact Investment Network – I3N

Intellecap is a 12-year old advisory firm dedicated to working with for profit businesses that have a clear social impact on the ground. We work across the sectors of Education, Healthcare, Agriculture, Clean
Energy, Financial Inclusion, Water and Sanitation. The annual Sankalp Forum hosted by Intellecap is currently the largest convening in the social enterprise space globally bringing together over 1000 stakeholders each year ranging from enterprises to investors, corporates, foundations, governments, policy makers, the press, etc.

Intellecap Impact Investment Network (I3N) is an exclusive network of 70+ investors including some influential individuals and early stage funds, who come together to co-invest into deals. In the last 2.5 years since inception, we have screened over 1,000 companies, showcased 60+ companies to our investors, and 10 of these companies have received investment. We are currently expanding the network across East Africa, creating the region’s first angel network focusing on funding and supporting high-impact businesses.

We follow a semi-annual showcase cycle, where 5 companies, carefully selected by our team and a panel of experts, get a chance to present in-person to all the members in our network. We work very closely with these enterprises to prepare them for the showcase and the funding round. Furthermore, these enterprises will be directly nominated as finalists for the Annual Sankalp Africa Awards.
