Hactiv8 Labs Workforce MarketPlace Accelerator Program

Hactiv8 Labs Workforce MarketPlace Accelerator Program is the first of Hactiv8 Lab’s venture building program focused on empowering technology and business talents to build scalable social innovation for the next billion African users.

The workforce MarketPlace Accelerator will support ten teams through a 16-week program to guide them from ideation through MVP launch of technology-based innovations, delivering scalable and capital-efficient solutions to unemployment in Africa.

Successful applicants, selected across technology and business tracks, will be onboarded into the accelerator program and subsequently matched into ten teams of 3 persons each. The teams will be mentored throughout the program on building scalable technology-driven social ventures with particular focus on lean startup principles covering team formation, ideation principles, business idea testing, product-solution fit testing, minimum lovable product development, business model generation and validation, customer acquisition, and venture capital fundraising.

Products launched by the emerging startups will include, on-demand labor marketplaces, workforce management solutions, and digital workforce solutions for both the formal and informal, as well as the skilled and semi-skilled employment sectors in Africa.

Hactiv8 Labs will provide mentorship and support to participating teams in the accelerator program, through its large network of mentors, successful entrepreneurs, as well as, angel and institutional investors. Furthermore, Hactiv8 Labs, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, will provide each team with $5,000 in AWS Activate Credits valid for 2 years, 1 year of AWS Business Support (up to $1,500), and 80 credits for self-paced labs.
