The Grassroots Business Fund (GBF) invests in businesses in emerging markets to drive economic development and improve local standards of living.

These “High Impact Businesses” provide sustainable economic opportunities to millions of people in low income communities. Their work empowers the poor in developing countries as independent entrepreneurs and consumers of affordable goods and services.

Over the next five years, by investing in more than 50 businesses in Africa, Asia and Latin America, GBF’s clients will provide economic opportunities to more than 20 million people at the base of the economic pyramid.
