Vumela Fund

The Vumela Fund is a R388 million Social Venture Capital Fund that Edge Growth manages on behalf of First Rand in alliance with FNB. The fund is an outsourced, end-to-end ESD solution through which First Rand provides a portfolio of high-calibre SMEs with financial and business development support.

Edge Venture Fund

The Edge Venture Fund is a growth capital impact fund investing in innovative, scale up businesses in South Africa. We specialise in combining funding and critical acceleration services through our 10X-e programme, to help businesses bridge the gap to exceptional growth. The fund is managed by Edge Growth, a leading fund manager that has been supporting SMEs since 2008.

INVEST: Edge uses multiple origination channels, developed over many years, to partner with early stage businesses where we can apply our unique combination of finance and acceleration services to achieve high returns. Very few others are investing in this space, creating a significant opportunity to back the best entrepreneurs.

ACCELERATE: Edge also delivers comprehensive scale-up support via our accelerator programme, 10X-e. With almost a decade of experience in supporting the growth of SMEs, we are able to mitigate the challenges early stage investments face in achieving scale and sustainability.
