Driving Innovation and Championing Women in Entrepreneurship

The Standard Chartered Foundation, in partnership with the Dream Factory Foundation Botswana, is reminding women entrepreneurs across Botswana to apply for the Women in Tech (WiT) Accelerator Programme. Applications will officially close on 02 May 2026.

The Women in Tech (WiT) Accelerator Programme is a
flagship initiative by the Standard Chartered Foundation, reflecting its
commitment to addressing inequality, promoting gender inclusion in the
technology sector, and supporting innovative solutions that drive social
impact.

Delivered in partnership with the Dream Factory Foundation Botswana,
the program supports women entrepreneurs developing innovative or
tech-enabled solutions, as well as those seeking to strengthen their use
of technology to scale and grow their businesses.

Empowering Women Entrepreneurs

The WiT Accelerator Program is designed to strengthen women-owned
enterprises and close the financial access gap for innovative and
tech-enabled small and growing businesses.

These enterprises play a critical role in improving livelihoods in
low-income and rural communities while contributing to broader social
and economic development in Botswana.

The 5-month accelerator program will provide 20 selected participants with a comprehensive support package, including:

The programme is open to women
entrepreneurs aged 18 to 40 years, with businesses registered in
Botswana. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a growth and impact
mindset, a strong interest in innovation and technology for scalability
and sustainability, and a commitment to advancing women’s
entrepreneurship in Botswana.
