Africa Fintech Summit – 7th Edition

Join us for the 7th Africa Fintech Summit (AFTS) in Washington, D.C.

Supported by an advisory board of thought leaders and fintech pioneers, the AFTS is a unique space where ideas are explored, investments mobilized, and collaborations formed across sectors and geographies.

Twice a year, we bring the issues, entrepreneurs, and opportunities revolutionizing finance in Africa to the world’s stage. The AFTS takes place in Washington, D.C., every April during the spring meetings of the World Bank Group and every November in a different African city. We’re excited to announce that for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be back in Washington, D.C.

Why Washington, D.C.?

Washington, D.C. has long been one of the most important locations for the Africa Fintech Summit. The US-Africa fintech relationship runs very deep and there are fewer opportunities than the World Bank/IFC Spring Meetings where you can find all the major African fintech players and banking executives in one city.

Program Highlights

Panel Discussions

The bread and butter of AFTS is the willingness and speakers to tackle the biggest challenges and discuss the leading trends making a splash in the African financial technology sector.

AFTS Awards

Each April, the AFTS Advisory Board recognizes the innovators, regulators, investors, and thought leaders for their pivotal role in shaping the fintech industry.

Exhibition

Startups, industry leaders, banks, and VC’s alike travel each year to the Africa Fintech Summit for the ability to exhibit and network with the movers and shakers in a forum that is both intimate and innovative.
