Who we are

CorpoAmbato was created in 1999, through a program of the Inter-American Development Bank, for the strengthening of local capacities. Its founding members are: The H. Provincial Government of Tungurahua, The GAD Municipality of Ambato, The Chamber of Commerce of Ambato, The Chamber of Industries of Tungurahua, The Technical University of Ambato and the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador Headquarters Ambato.

The Corporation is constituted as a non-profit organization, duly registered with the Ministry of Industries and Productivity and legalized before the Secretariat of Policy Management with a ROUS certificate.

Mission

Promote and promote the economic growth and development of the city and the province through the active and concerted participation of all social actors, especially local governments, entrepreneurs, universities, community leaders and politicians.

Vision

The Local Economy and Provincial is in a process of sustainable development, respecting the criteria of equity and sustainability. CorpoAmbato is projected as the leading and coordinating entity for the management of productive projects
