About the program

We look for the best high impact ventures from an idea validated to an early stage prototype.

Duration

The program consists of 4 months of acceleration. It’s tailored to grow your startup exponentially. 

Program Benefits

• equity-free: In addition to the complete acceleration program we will give you a fund of 10 million Chilean pesos (approx. 12.5K USD) free of equity participation so you can grow your business without having to give up a part of it.
• Continue to unlock your business: Ability to access an extension of 5 million Chilean pesos (approx. 6K USD) or move to the Ignite program to further develop your business.
• Femele founder factor: This is a peer initiative! At least 50% of the generation’s startups will be led by women.
• The SUppers: We call SUppers all who go through our program. Annually we receive 2 generations of Build up to 50 startups each.

Requirements

• Team leader: The team leader has to be a responsible adult, at least in his ID card or ID (over 18 years).
• 100% dedication: The team leader has to have exclusive dedication to his startup, that means that the startup must be a full-time job. What leaves out university students and those who have work in parallel.
• Scability and technology: The mission of Start-Up Chile is to support companies that are scalable and of a technological base. If you don’t comply with these features and you have a more traditional profile you can apply to other Corfo funds focused on your needs!
• Maximum 12 months: The company must have been created 12 months before, at most, since it opens the bidding process. If you apply as a legal person, the 12 months are counted from the company’s constitution. If you apply as a natural person, that time is counted from the moment you start the commercial validation of your product or service (reach market, interviews. potential clients, social/web network launch, etc).
• Chile=home sweet home: The team leader should be set in Chile during the program or even spend the fund (usually for 5 months) and if you want the $25M CLP extension (approx. 31K USD), you must stay in Chile until you spend the extension fund (usually another 3 months).
• The chosen person: The team leader cannot be changed once the application is complete and sent! Make sure you choose the right person!

Legal basis and terms of reference

The legal bases of the program are key to making a good run and knowing all the rules of the game. Downloads and read them all times they are needed because if they are selected they will be the basis of your contract with Corfo.
