The Gender-Smart Accelerator Challenge is an initiative launched by the AICCRA project of the Alliance Biodiversity and CIAT, and piloted by the WIC Academy with the support of the World Bank.
The Gender-Smart Accelerator Challenge is aimed at entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector and agribusiness who want to scale intelligent business models in the face of climate.
This program challenges entrepreneurs to rethink the sustainability of their project or enterprise in the face of the effects of climate change, embracing innovations and modes of climate change. Sustainable production thus contributing to the objectives of the Senegal Emergent Plan 2019-2023.
The pre-selected candidates will be invited to present their project to an investment committee in order to benefit from an accompanying programme and technical assistance for 4 months through Master Classes, a Coaching Individualized of the Panels, Mentoring around the themes: investment preparation, commercial development, monitoring and impact assessment, intelligent agriculture in the face of climate.
At the end of the programme, companies are eligible for funding of up to FCFA 15 million.
The Gender-Smart Accelerator Challenge is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to interact with their peers to propose solutions that work for gender equity and climate action.
It will also be an opportunity to have access to experts, business networks, and decision-makers in both the public and private sectors to foster partnerships and collaborative long-term collaborations.
