On Thursday, 6 March, 2025, 11 highly promising startups working in the field of circular economy, will pitch their project to investors and key stakeholders from Colombia’s innovation and sustainability ecosystem.
These top teams were selected from 42 participants in the CircularEconomy4Colombia Bootcamp held in Palmira on October 10–13, 2024. After completing a rigorous 5-month Acceleration Program filled with specialized training and mentorship, the teams are ready to scale their business models, strengthen their innovations, and increase market readiness. Demo Day offers them high visibility and opens doors to investment opportunities, strategic connections, and potential new clients.
The CircularEconomy4Colombia Innovation Challenge is an initiative aimed at supporting Colombia’s transition toward a circular economy in the agri-food sector. The challenge seeks to drive and scale high-impact early-stage solutions, backed by science and tailored to the local context, that enhance resource efficiency, reduce waste and deforestation, and promote sustainable development in Colombia.
In the context of CGIAR’s research initiatives, Nature-Positive Solutions, the CircularEconomy4Colombia Innovation Challenge is driven by the CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP) and co-organized with CGIAR centers, the Alliance of Bioversity International-CIAT and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), in partnership with EAN University, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), and the Green Business Office of Colombia’s Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (Minambiente).
Join us on March 6, 2025, to witness innovation in action and support Colombia’s circular economy transformation!
