This 8-week program offers hands-on acceleration for startups working on: AI & data for nature intelligence, regenerative agriculture & soil health, monetizing biodiversity, and deep-tech for ecosystem restoration. A Tailored Program to Boost Your Startup to The Next Level

Program offering

• 1on1 Coaching
  Each team has a dedicated coach who helps set clear objectives, refine priorities, validate concepts, and generate crucial insights. Each team will also connect with domain experts and mentors.
• Network Access
  Brainforest has been active in the fields of forests and biodiversity for many years. Our network includes NGOs, unicorn founders, and Impact Investors.
• Financial Support
  The selected team(s) at the end of the program will receive financial support of $125k for a 7% equity stake in your company.

Our Venture Program’s Focus Areas

We support all types of initiatives that positively impact nature, biodiversity, and food forests. We’re particularly interested in the following areas:

AI & Data for Nature Intelligence: AI-driven biodiversity monitoring, risk forecasting, and supply chain transparency are some of the fastest-growing areas in nature tech. Investors want real-time, verifiable data to move beyond static biodiversity credits and manual impact tracking.

Regenerative Agriculture & Soil Health: The food system is the most vulnerable to biodiversity loss, making soil health and regenerative agriculture top investment priorities. Solutions that improve soil microbiome health, nutrient density, and climate resilience are gaining traction.

Monetizing Biodiversity: Biodiversity is a valuable but financially invisible asset. To scale its conservation and restoration, we must quantify ecosystem services, making them investable and financially rewarding for communities, businesses, and investors.

Deep-Tech for Ecosystem Restoration: Deep tech solutions in biotech, bioengineering, and advanced materials can restore ecosystems, speed up reforestation, and create industries that regenerate nature rather than exploit it.

Online Applications
The application period for Brainforest’s Spring Cohort is open until March 24th, 2025.

Mar 24, 2025 – Apr 4, 2025
Interviews & Evaluation
Applications that match our selection criteria and offer exciting innovations in our areas of action will be invited for a first video call interview. Those startups that pass the video interviews and in-depth analysis will be reviewed by the Brainforest expert committee, who will identify our final cohort candidates.

Onboarding
The selected teams will be invited for an onboarding conversation, which will focus on tailoring each startup’s journey through our venture program (defining key milestones, selecting a mentor, etc.)

Apr 14, 2025 – Jun 5, 2025
Spring Program Begins
The selected cohort will work alongside Brainforest and its team of dedicated experts and mentors for 8 weeks.

Jun 2, 2025 – Jun 5, 2025
Pitch Day
On our pitch day, teams will present in front of a multi-disciplinary Investment Committee. The investment decision will be communicated shortly after the pitch day, and the selected venture(s) will become part of the Brainforest Portfolio and will receive long-term support in the years ahead next to the immediate cash contribution.
