We are organizing the 2022 Digital Transformation Challenge calling for innovative healthcare startups operating in Africa!
A selection of high potential innovative projects embodying the African dynamic of Healthcare will participate in a special event – part of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
This event will provide a tremendous opportunity to promote your business to private investors, public decision-makers and international institutions, and Toyota Tsusho & CFAO top management. You will participate in a dedicated event in August 2022 and our partner Bond’Innov will deliver training and support to make the most from this event.
To be eligible for the program, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:

Our core mission is to enable operators to provide stable access to reliable and affordable medical supplies and drugs to patients across every region of Africa. 4 core sectors are targeted:
Note: Companies in clinical or pharmaceutical research, drug development, and medical infrastructures will not be considered.

Can I apply for both the Health and Mobility forms? It is possible to apply for both forms if your start-up is compatible with the eligibility criteria required for each CVC (e.g. startups operating in the insurance or payment business areas).
When should I submit my application? The deadline to apply is June 15th, 2022 at 23:59 GMT. The Health54 team might revert back to you before the deadline if your profile is selected. In any case, you’ll receive an answer at the latest by the end of July 2022.
Could you please tell us more about the Pitch Contest? A selection of transformational start-ups embodying the dynamic of Health in Africa will participate in a special event, gathering investors, top managers, and international decision-makers – The event will be part of the International Conference on African Development (TICAD). This event will provide a tremendous opportunity to promote your business to private investors, public decision-makers and international institutions, and Toyota Tsusho & CFAO top management. If you are selected, you will be announced at the ceremony at the end of August 2022. Our partner Bond’Innov will be delivering training and support to gain the most of this event. Based on your business maturity level, you will receive advice, support, and feedback from Bond’Innov to get ready for the final event. Media coverage and promotion will be carried out until early September.
