Ten of the most promising Francophone African tech start-ups are selected to participate in L’Afrique Excelle’s second residency in France and will take part in the final Venture Showcase at Afrobytes and VivaTech in Paris.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
L’Afrique Excelle in the francophone edition of XL Africa, the World Bank’s tech accelerator implemented by VC4A, Suguba and SahelInnov and focused on supporting growth-stage, post-revenue startups operating in Francophone Africa and aiming to raise their Series A in the range of $250K-$5M.
THE RESIDENCY
The residency will kick off with 2 days at The Camp in Aix-en-Provence where the founders will meet with local angel investors and get connected with the thriving startup ecosystem in the South of France. The program at The Camp will consist of several workshops and the Venture Academy format facilitated by our friends and program partners Marcel Dridje, Jean-Louis Brelet and Nathalie Dumas from Sophia Business Angels.
Following the trip to Aix-en-Provence, L’Afrique Excelle will spend the first day in Paris with our corporate partner Deloitte. The founders will receive one-on-one advise from in-house experts on tax, legal, corporate governance, corporate partnerships and valuations, while enjoying the views of Paris from the 27th floor of Deloitte Greenhouse. The day will close off with a networking cocktail (May 14th, 6-8pm), where investors, partners and media can meet the founders informally before the big showcase. Interested to attend? Please RSVP here.
